File Manager Ultra for Android · package com.navobytes.filemanager
Effective date: October 11, 2026 · Last updated: October 11, 2026
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("terms") are a legal agreement between you and NavoBytes ("we", "us", "our") governing your use of the Android application File Manager Ultra (the "app") and of the website at navobytes.com.
By downloading, installing, accessing or using the app, you confirm that you have read and agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not install or use the app.
Your download and any purchase are also subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. Where those terms conflict with these, Google Play's terms govern your relationship with Google, and these terms govern your relationship with us. These terms do not limit any rights you have under mandatory consumer law in your country of residence.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country, whichever is higher) to use the app, and old enough to enter into a binding agreement where you live. If you use the app on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it. The app is not directed at children — see section 14 of the Privacy Policy.
3. Licence to use the app
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable and revocable licence to install and use the app on devices that you own or control, for your own personal or internal business purposes.
The app is licensed, not sold. We and our licensors retain all right, title and interest in and to the app, including its code, design, interface, name, logos and documentation. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.
4. Restrictions
Except to the extent that applicable law expressly permits it, you may not:
- copy, reproduce, distribute, sell, rent, lease, sublicense or commercially exploit the app;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or otherwise attempt to derive the source code;
- modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works based on the app;
- remove, obscure or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice;
- circumvent, disable or interfere with the app's licensing, subscription or security mechanisms, including by using modified builds, patched billing or emulated purchases;
- use the app to build a competing product, or use automated means to extract its data, assets or content;
- use the app's name or branding in a way that suggests endorsement or affiliation without our written permission.
5. Your files and your responsibility
File operations are permanent. The app deletes, moves, renames, overwrites, compresses and extracts files at your instruction. Deletions performed by cleaning tools, and files removed from the app's recycle bin, generally cannot be undone. The app is not a data-recovery tool and cannot restore files deleted by other apps, by you, or by the system.
Keep backups of anything irreplaceable. Before running a cleanup, a duplicate scan, a bulk rename or any other operation that touches many files, make sure you have a copy of the data you care about somewhere else.
You are solely responsible for: the files and content on your device; the operations you ask the app to perform; having the legal right to access and modify those files; and complying with all laws that apply to them, including copyright, data-protection and export laws. We never see your files and cannot recover them for you.
You must not use the app to access, modify or delete data on a device you do not own or have permission to manage.
6. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the app to:
- infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy, publicity or other rights;
- store, transmit or distribute malware, or content that is unlawful, defamatory or harmful;
- gain or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any device, network, account or system;
- interfere with, disrupt, overload or probe any network or service;
- harass, stalk or surveil another person;
- violate any applicable law or regulation, or any third party's terms of service.
7. Local network, FTP and cloud transfer
The app can send files directly between devices over Wi-Fi Direct, expose selected folders to a web browser on your local network, and run an FTP server. These features are off unless you start them.
- You are responsible for what you expose, to whom, and for the security of the network you use them on.
- While a local server is running, anything you expose may be reachable by other devices on that network. Turn the feature off when you are finished, and avoid using it on public or untrusted networks.
- We are not responsible for interception, unauthorised access or misuse by third parties on a network you do not control, nor for any loss resulting from files you chose to share.
8. Safe Vault, recycle bin and PIN protection
The Safe Vault relocates files into the app's private storage and gates access behind a PIN. App Lock asks for your PIN when the app returns to the foreground. The vault is access control, not encryption: it hides files from ordinary file managers and other apps, but it does not encrypt them.
- If you forget your PIN, there is no recovery mechanism that can reveal or decrypt the stored files.
- Files in the vault and the recycle bin live in app-private storage and are deleted if you uninstall the app. Move out anything you want to keep first.
- Root access, custom ROMs, developer tooling, device backups and forensic tools may reach app-private storage. Do not rely on the vault for data you cannot afford to lose or expose.
- You are responsible for remembering your PIN and for any loss caused by forgetting it.
9. Subscriptions, billing and renewal
- The app is free to download and use with the free allowances described in the app. Optional Premium subscriptions unlock additional features and remove advertising.
- All purchases are processed by Google Play Billing. We do not process payments and never receive your card or bank details.
- Price, billing period and any trial are shown by Google Play before you confirm the purchase. The price may vary by country and may change over time; a price change does not apply retroactively to a period you have already paid for.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the price shown at purchase, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. The renewal is charged to your Google Play payment method within 24 hours before the period ends.
- How to cancel. Open the Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → select File Manager Ultra → Cancel. Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. Cancelling stops future charges; access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Trials. If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel before it ends, the subscription starts and the first period is charged. Eligibility for a trial is determined by Google Play.
- Price changes. If we change the subscription price, Google Play will notify you and require your consent where the law requires it. If you do not consent, your subscription will not renew at the new price.
- If you believe you were charged in error, contact us and also raise the issue with Google Play within the applicable window.
10. Refunds and billing disputes
Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy, because Google processes the payment. We cannot issue refunds directly and cannot reverse a charge on your payment method. Request a refund through Google Play (for example via Google Play's refund process).
If something is wrong with the app itself — a feature you paid for does not work, or you were charged twice — email us at the address in section 23 and we will investigate and help you resolve it with Google Play. Nothing in this section limits any statutory refund or withdrawal right you have as a consumer in your country.
11. Free version, ads and rewarded videos
The free version of the app displays advertising supplied by Google AdMob, and may offer a rewarded video that unlocks a period of ad-free use. Ads are selected and served by Google, not by us, and we do not control which specific ads appear. What advertising means for your data is described in the Privacy Policy. Attempting to block, tamper with or circumvent advertising or billing mechanisms is a breach of these terms (section 4).
12. Third-party services and cloud accounts
The app can connect to Google Drive, Dropbox and OneDrive, and uses Google Play and Firebase services. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and you must comply with them. We are not responsible for third-party services, their availability, their content, or changes they make. If a provider changes or revokes access, the corresponding feature may stop working.
13. Updates, availability and changes
- We may release updates, add or remove features, or discontinue the app or parts of it. Some updates may be required for continued use or for security reasons.
- We do not guarantee that the app will work on every device, Android version, file system or storage configuration, or alongside every root, ADB/Shizuku or custom-ROM setup. Features that depend on those environments may be unavailable on your device.
- We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Maintenance, third-party outages and platform changes may cause temporary unavailability.
14. Privacy
Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: your files stay on your device, and the limited data that leaves it is the advertising identifier, consent-gated analytics and crash reports.
15. Intellectual property
The app, the NavoBytes name and logo, and all related designs, text and code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by copyright, trademark and other laws. These terms grant you no rights in our trademarks or branding. Your files remain entirely yours — we claim no rights in the content you manage with the app. If you send us feedback, suggestions or bug reports, you allow us to use them without restriction or obligation to you.
16. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the app and this website are provided "as is" and "as available", with all faults and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, accuracy, quiet enjoyment and non-infringement.
We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, timely, secure or error-free, that defects will be corrected, that files will never be lost or corrupted, or that the app will detect every threat, clean every unnecessary file, or behave identically across devices and Android versions.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or of statutory consumer guarantees, so some of the above may not apply to you. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any statutory right you have as a consumer that cannot lawfully be excluded.
17. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits, revenue, goodwill, anticipated savings or business opportunity, arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the app or this website. This includes, without limitation:
- files deleted, modified, moved or corrupted by the app's tools or by operations you requested;
- files lost because the vault or recycle bin was emptied, or the app was uninstalled or its data cleared;
- files exposed as a result of a local server, FTP server or device-to-device transfer you enabled;
- loss resulting from a forgotten PIN;
- loss arising from third-party services, cloud providers, or your device failing.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total aggregate liability arising out of or relating to these terms, the app or this website is limited to the greater of (a) the total amount you paid to us for the app in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) twenty US dollars (US$20).
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for: death or personal injury caused by our negligence; fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. Because the app is provided free of charge at the basic tier, you acknowledge that the limitations in this section are reasonable and reflect the allocation of risk between us.
18. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless NavoBytes from any claim, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of: your breach of these terms; your misuse of the app; your violation of any law or third-party right, including intellectual-property or privacy rights; or content or files you processed with the app. This does not apply to the extent the claim results from our own breach or negligence.
19. Termination
You may stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it. We may suspend or terminate your licence if you materially breach these terms, including by circumventing billing or licensing mechanisms. On termination, the licence in section 3 ends, but sections which by their nature should survive — including sections 5, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20 and 22 — will continue to apply. Termination does not entitle you to a refund except as required by law or by Google Play's refund policy.
20. Governing law and disputes
These terms and any dispute arising out of them are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, excluding its conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of Istanbul, Türkiye have exclusive jurisdiction — except that if you are a consumer resident elsewhere, you may also rely on the mandatory consumer protections and bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply.
Before starting formal proceedings, please contact us at the address in section 23. The overwhelming majority of problems are solved with one email, and we would rather fix the issue than argue about it.
21. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect changes in the app, in the law or in how we operate. The "last updated" date at the top will change, and the new version will be published at navobytes.com/file-manager/terms-of-service. If a change is material, we will make it prominent — in the app, in the store listing, or by notification where required — and where the law requires it we will ask for your consent. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the app and cancel any subscription.
22. General
- Entire agreement. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Google Play's terms, are the entire agreement between you and us about the app.
- Severability. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full force, and the unenforceable provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary.
- No waiver. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
- Assignment. You may not assign these terms. We may assign them to an affiliate or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you where required.
- Third-party rights. No third party has the right to enforce these terms.
- Language. These terms are published in English. Any translation is provided for convenience; if there is a conflict, the English version prevails, except where local law requires otherwise.
- Force majeure. We are not liable for failure or delay caused by events beyond our reasonable control.
